FYI – September 10th to the 31st was the peak time for Coho/Chinook in 2011.

The Coho fishery on the Stamp River, (near Port Alberni) is one of the best in BC.  Plus, the river and the scenery during this time of the year is spectacular.  There are more than a dozen resident bears that patrol the river banks and over 30 eagles that lay claim to the tree tops above.   Most days start early to get that early morning bite, with the cool mist coming off the water and the complete silence that is to be expected from this majestic river, thousands of Coho swimming under the boat, this truly is a world renowned fishery.

September 1st thru October 20th is the best time for Coho

We are the only company that exclusively uses unmotorized boats on the Stamp River. We feel that the drift boating fishing is the best way to experience this natural setting.  We specialize in running the river with drift boats like so many others have for decades before us.  Our drift boat is the 14ft AIRE Super Duper Raft with room for two anglers plus the guide (who rows the boat).  The boat is Transport Canada certified, inspected and insured.  The boat is the safest drift boat on the market today, and all our guides are fully qualified, licensed, experienced and insured to give you the best quality day of fishing on the river.

The regulations allow for the retention of 2 Coho per day, but you can safely release as many as you like.

Book your trip early as we anticipate our bookings will fill quickly.  There are only 45 + good Stamp River fishing days for Coho/Chinook during the fall, so book us early.

Steelheading on the Stamp River!  November 1st to April 30th. Book early.

Steelhead are the #1 river sport caught fish in North America.  Steelheader’s are people who are passionate about fishing, and want to catch the hardest fighting pound for pound fish in the river.  The Stamp River is the best kept secret in British Columbia, last year there were over 10,000 Steelhead that returned to spawn. What is unique about the Stamp river is the Robertson Creek hatchery which helps to keep the numbers of Steelhead high enough that anglers can actually retain up to 2 hatchery Steelhead per day.  The Stamp river is best accessed by drift boat, as many of the best spots can not be reached by shore.   The fishing season for Steelhead is long and you can successfully catch Steelhead from November through to the end of May.  This is a very popular fishery and I will be booking up early, so if you have some dates in mind book early!  We can accommodate beginner to expert anglers,  we can supply all the gear and tackle.

3 Day Fishing Trips: $1000 for 2 anglers

3 x full days of guided fishing on our drift boat for up to 2 anglers per boat. The day starts at day break, we meet at your accommodation and then transport you to the river.  We launch our drift boat and begin our day of fishing on the river.  Some of the day will be fished from the boat and some will be from the river bank.  An included lunch will be served on the river bank.  At the end of the day, we recover the boat, clean and pack your fish and drop you off at your accommodation. $500 per angler based on double occupancy. (Single anglers $950)

Single Day Fishing Trips on the Stamp River: $350 for 2 anglers

A full day of guided fishing in our drift boat for up to 2 anglers per boat.  The day starts at day break, we meet at your accommodation and then transport you to the river.  We launch our drift boat and begin our full day of fishing on the river.  Some of the day will be fished from the boat and some will be from the river bank.  At the end of the day, we recover the boat, clean and pack your fish and drop you off at your accommodation. $175 per angler based on double occupancy (Single anglers $350).
