West Coast Sportfishing at its best, Port Alberni Sockeye Salmon and Barkley Sound Chinook Salmon fishing!

Port Alberni has consistently had huge returns of the tasty Sockeye Salmon to the local river.  This is an early morning fishery, where the fish only bite from 5am till 10am.  But when you get out there early, its not uncommon to catch 20+ Sockeye in a couple of hours! The best time of the year for Sockeye fishing is June 15th to July 31st.

Barkley Sound is one of the most beautiful fishing destinations in the world.  Plus the fishing is very consistent there almost all year round.  During the peak fishing season from June 1st to September 15th, its not uncommon to hook into multiple knuckle busting Chinook Salmon.  Plus if the salmon aren’t biting in the sound, it’s a short run off-shore to get into the huge schools of migrating fish that swim right past Barkley Sound.

June 15th - July 31st: Port Alberni Inlet Sockeye fishing. 3 days of fishing(5 hours/day) - $1400/boat for 3 days up to 4 guests per boat. Departing from Port Alberni or China Creek.

May 15th - Sept 15th: Barkley Sound Chinook and Coho fishing. 3 days of fishing (11 hours/day) – $2700/boat for 3 days up to 4 guests per boat. Departing from Port Alberni, Bamfield, Poetts Nook, China Creek or Toquart Bay.

Day rates: $1000/day for Barkley Sound or $500/day for Port Alberni Sockeye fishing.
