Gold River Fishing – Steelhead

| February 2, 2013

I am booking trips for exciting steelhead fishing adventures on the mighty Gold river on Vancouver Island, BC.  Starting December 15th, 2013 and going thru April 30th, 2014.  We offer one day or multi-day Steelheading packages, how much can you handle?!  The Gold river is truely Vancouver island’s gem with fast rapids and big wild Steelhead. It is located in the heart of Vancouver Island just north of Strathcona Provincial Park, about 100km’s from Campbell River, BC.  Our guides can pick you up from your Campbell River accommodation and take you to the river for a full day of guided fishing. We supply all the gear and tackle, guide and drift boat, all you need is a lunch and fishing license.

We can accommodate the novice gear angler or the expert fly fisher, all we suggest is that you are keen on adventure.  Also, keep in mind that this is a catch and release fishery only, which is our favourite way to fish!

Every trip will be slightly different depending on the weather and the Steelhead.  Email me the dates that you have available and I will put together a package that will include the best river(s) on the island for that time period.

Contact me with any questions you may have at ramblingfisherman@gmail.com or call: 250-218-1087

1 day trip – $425 to $475/day for 2 anglers (Multi-day trips please call or email me for prices)

Here is what is included: drift boat, rods and reels, tackle, flies and your guide. What you will need to provide is your own accommodation, your food, fishing license with a steelhead stamp. We will make all your accommodation reservations for you, if you require.  Accommodation in the North Island in the winter is pretty inexpensive.
